There are countries that have refused the death penalty because people say they have no right to take away something they haven’t given. Though, there are also such countries that still recognize the death penalty and they believe it is the right punishment for those who kill people. It is the matter of argument and we are not going to deal with it here.

The criminals are the same addicted with drug addicts and alcoholics and others. They have the need to do things that are wrong things and it is hard for them to get rid of such a habit. They have ideology that makes them act like that and this is the ideology they follow. In order to become law-abiding people they have to change the ideology they have.

The Bleeding Wound of Society

There is no such a thing in this world that consists of merits only and deprived of any drawbacks. There is no such a thing in the world and the bigger the thing or phenomenon is the greater number of drawbacks it has. And the same is true for the society. It is the broad system that consists of people and their relations. The great number of different people who live in the same place may result in a number of troubles and so the rules are needed in order to make their life regulated. People made up some rules and they've recognized those rules as the most important and they say that it is necessary to follow those. And there are those who always follow those rules.

And there are those who sometimes break those rules and there are people of extremely different nature that neglect the rules of society and they always break those. They are criminals we are talking about. People don't like those who run counter their common opinion and they try to take those away of society in order they not become the beginning of the whole generation neglecting rules. And they have built a number of such castles where they can hide those who are not like them and those castles we call prisons. Those people who break the common rules of society are disposed of the society and they are placed into prisons in order they have enough time to think over the mistake they made.

But, it is not enough to dispose a person of a society in order to make that person better or appropriate for the society. People place those criminals into prisons and they forget about them. Those people are left alone in prisons and they live there on their own. They create their own society where they are good people and they have their own rules and hierarchy and so on and so forth. The prison is the bleeding wound of the society because it is a place where the lost and forgotten souls live. But a day come when they are out and they are the same criminals they were, and sometimes they are even twice criminals. And they are not just criminals who are responsible for their crimes but the whole society is responsible too.
